1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
Bigehld Gastro UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
represented by its Managing Director Sebastian Held
Semmelstraße 39, 97070 Würzburg
Email: info@restaurant-zur-stadt-mainz.de
2. Hosting
This website is hosted by Strato AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. The provider processes personal data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
3. Server log files
When the website is called up, data transmitted by your browser is recorded automatically: the page requested, the date and time, the volume of data transferred, the browser type and operating system, the referrer URL and a shortened IP address. This data serves secure operation and is not combined with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
4. Reservation form
If you send us an enquiry through the form, we process the details you enter there: name, email address, optionally a telephone number, the occasion, date, time, number of people and your note. We use these details solely to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as the processing serves the performance of pre-contractual measures. The data is deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.
5. Reservations via OpenTable
We use the OpenTable service for table reservations. The provider for Europe is OpenTable International Limited, 1 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, a company of Booking Holdings Inc., which is based in the United States.
No OpenTable code is embedded on this website. When you tap the button in the booking bar, OpenTable opens in a new window and your entries for date, time and number of people are passed along as part of the address. Only from that moment does OpenTable process data about you, in particular the details you enter there for the reservation, as well as technical connection data. Data may be transferred to the United States in the process.
The legal basis for the forwarding is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, as it serves the performance of pre-contractual measures. Further details are set out in OpenTable's privacy policy: opentable.de/legal/privacy-policy. If you wish to avoid this, please reserve by telephone or through our form.
6. Enquiries via WhatsApp
On this website you will find buttons that open a message in WhatsApp with the text already filled in. No data is transmitted automatically in the process: the message is only sent once you trigger that in WhatsApp yourself. Only then does your data leave this website.
The service is operated by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland, a company of the Meta group. When using WhatsApp, personal data — in particular your telephone number and communication metadata — may also be transferred to servers outside the European Union. We have no influence over this processing. If you wish to avoid it, please use the form, the telephone or email. Further details are in WhatsApp's privacy policy: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.
Messages that reach us via WhatsApp are processed to handle your enquiry on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
7. Map display
The map on the “Getting here” section is only loaded once you start it explicitly by clicking. Before that, no connection to an external service is established. By clicking you consent to the map being loaded from OpenStreetMap; the provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. Your IP address is transmitted in the process. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.
8. Cookies
This website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising purposes and embeds no tracking pixels or tracking services. No data is stored in your browser either. For this reason this website needs no consent banner.
9. Your rights
You have the right at any time to information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You may object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Any consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
10. SSL encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar beginning with “https://” and by the padlock symbol shown.
